Men's Golf Maintains Lead At Mason Rudolph

NASHVILLE, Tenn. The Ole Miss men’s golf team played through 50 degree temperatures and 20 mph wind gusts at times on Tuesday, and still managed to shoot a 296 to hang on to a one shot lead over host Vanderbilt, at the Mason Rudolph Invitational.
The Rebels head into Tuesday’s final round at the Par 72, 7,190-yard Iron Course at the Legends Club, with a 290-296586. They will try to hold off the host, Vanderbilt (290-297587). North Florida shot the low round of the day (292) and stands four strokes off the lead, with Rice, MTSU and
Rebel senior Callum Macaulay carded a 1-under 71 to go with Sunday’s 72 and stands in a tie for fourth. Brice Bailey turned in a 75 after a first-round 71 and is tied for eighth. Will Roebuck, Chris Rogers and Larry Blatt also finished with 75s in the second round. Roebuck is tied for 14th, and
The Rebels will try to win their first tournament title of the fall on Tuesday and their first title since capturing the USA Spring Classic last spring.
With the forecast for Monday night including temperatures below freezing, Vanderbilt officials decided to push back start times due to the risk of frost. A shotgun start is scheduled to go off at 9:30 a.m. CT.
