Toohey Named AVCA South Region Honorable Mention

It is the first time a Rebel player has been named as a part of a Regional team since Trisha Eastburn in 1978.
“I could not be happier for Jaclyn to have been recognized for all of her hard work this season and the way she has performed on the court,” Ole Miss head coach Joe Getzin said. “For her to be honored on this level speaks volumes about what she was able to do this season.”

The senior broke the 20 kill mark six times this season, including five wins for the Rebels, including: Kentucky (21), at Arkansas (27), Memphis (21), at Auburn (28) and No. 11 LSU (25). She was named the SEC Player of the Week twice during the season, becoming the first Rebel to receive overall Player of the Week selection since Susan Argue in the 1997 season.

Toohey was also named to the Southeastern Conference Community Service Team for her efforts in the community. The senior has participated in Toys for Tots, a canned food drive in the community and been a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee. She has also participated in mission trips to
