OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss men's and women's track and field teams host the Ole Miss Dual Meet Day this Saturday, March 25. Men's and women's teams from nine schools and two professional clubs will be competing this weekend.

"This is the first outdoor meet where our whole team will be competing," said Ole Miss head coach Joe Walker. "We had some throwers compete last weekend, but this weekend everyone will be competing."

Walker sees home meets as an opportunity for his athletes to excel.

"We expect our athletes to compete hard in every meet," he said. "However, you hope for maybe a little more, because you are at your home track and comfortable with your surroundings."

Men's and women's teams from Arkansas State, Arkansas-Little Rock, Christian Brothers, Memphis, Mississippi Valley, South Alabama, Tennessee-Martin and the women's team from UAB are participating in the meet.

"There are a number of great teams and athletes competing this weekend," said Walker. "There will be great excitement and I expect some ferocious competition."

The day kicks off with field events at 10:00 a.m., followed by running events starting at noon. All events will take place at the Ole Miss Track and Field Complex.
