OXFORD, Miss. - Two days after the second scrimmage of the spring, Ole Miss head coach Ed Orgeron is pleased with the improvement of both sides of the ball and the adjustments the Rebels made after watching film of Saturday's work.

"Today we improved on some things from Saturday's scrimmage," said Orgeron. "We made some corrections both on offense and defense. On defense, we mostly made some adjustments, while on offense we had to correct a couple of blocking assignments on blitz protections. At the end of practice today we threw a bunch of blitzes at our offense and I thought they did a very good job of picking them up."

Orgeron continued to praise the continuity of the Rebel running game after Monday's workout.

"I think that we have a good plan with our running game and we have some good runners," said Orgeron. "The offensive line is coming along."

After getting a chance to view the film from Saturday's scrimmage, Oregon found several positives along both sides of the ball.

"Peria Jerry had a dominating scrimmage with four sacks for the defense," said Orgeron. "Robert Russell made some improvement at middle linebacker. BenJarvus Green-Ellis had another good day, and I thought Robert Lane had a good day catching the ball. Bruce Hall did good job running the football and I think we found us a tailback who can help us out."

Hall, who joined Ole Miss in January from Northeast Mississippi Community College, began the spring as a quarterback, but was moved to running back last week. Another quarterback drawing praise from Orgeron was junior Seth Adams.

"Seth is a pleasant surprise," said Orgeron, of the junior college transfer from Hinds Community College. "He is confident in reading defenses. He knows how to operate the offense and he doesn't make many mistakes throwing the ball."

The Rebels will return to the practice fields on Wednesday. Ole Miss will conclude the spring with the annual Red-Blue Game, April 8 at 1 p.m. at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.
