Ole Miss Track Competes At NCAA Qualifiers

Sophomore John Yarbrough was not able to improve upon his provisional qualifying time with a mark of 8.04. Yarbrough's season best is 7.90. Senior Marquita Aldridge earned a NCAA provisional qualifying mark in the long jump with a mark of 20-00.25. Aldridge best jump this season was a mark of 20-08.50 at the Iowa State Invitational.
"We didn't do a lot to improve ourselves, now we just have to wait and see," said Ole Miss head coach Joe Walker.
Senior Ed McCall fell just short of earning a provisional qualifying mark in the long jump. His mark of 24-04.50 was 0.02-meters short of the NCAA mark. McCall had already earned a qualify mark earlier this season.
Freshman Cachet Murray earned a qualifying mark in the 60-meters earlier this season with a mark of 7.40. Francis Vital is a NCAA qualifier in both the pentathlon and long jump.
The NCAA Indoor Championships begin on March 10 in Fayetteville, Ark.
