SERIES INFORMATION

This game marked the 54th meeting all-time between Ole Miss and Arkansas dating back to 1908. Ole Miss records show the Rebels trailing the series 24-29-1, while Arkansas’ records indicate a 30-23-1 advantage for the Razorbacks. Arkansas claims a forfeit victory in a 1914 game that Ole Miss won 13-7.

Arkansas holds a 10-6 edge since it joined the SEC in 1992 and have taken four straight in the series.

The Rebels fall to 5-3 all-time against the Razorbacks in Oxford matchups.

TEAM NOTES

Ole Miss was down 14-0 after the first quarter ... The Rebels had surrendered only 10 points all year in the first quarter before today, outscoring the opposition 34-10.

Ole Miss suffered its worst loss since a 45-7 defeat at Alabama in 2000.

The Rebel football program remains four wins short of 600 ... Ole Miss boasts an all-time record of 596-457-35 (.564 winning percentage).

 

OFFENSIVE NOTES                   

Junior WR Mike Wallace hauled in his team-high sixth TD pass of the year and second from Brent Schaeffer with the 37-yard grab in the fourth quarter ... It was his 10th completion of 30 or more yards this season ... Wallace led the team with four catches for 57 yards.

Senior RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis rushed for 84 yards on 15 carries.

Senior QB Brent Schaeffer saw action for the second time this season in relief of Seth Adams in the second half ... Schaeffer finished 5-of-13 for 103 yards and a TD ... He has thrown for a TD in each of his two appearances this year.

Senior QB Seth Adams recorded season lows in completions (9) and passing yards (79) ... Adams failed to toss a TD pass for the first time this year ... He is the first Rebel to record four interceptions since Ethan Flatt in the 2004 Wyoming game.

                                                                                                    

DEFENSIVE NOTES

Junior LB Tony Fein registered a career-best and team-high 13 total tackles ... It marked the second double-digit tackle performance of his debut season in the Red and Blue.

Freshman DB Johnny Brown notched the first interception of his career with his second-quarter pick and 35-yard return ... Brown equaled his career high of seven total stops.

Junior LB Ashlee Palmer posted nine total tackles ... He has recorded at least eight tackles in all but one game this year.

Junior DL Peria Jerry was credited with four total tackles, including three solos and a sack with two QB hurries.

                                                                                                      

SPECIAL TEAMS NOTES

Sophomore WR Dexter McCluster returned kickoffs for the first time this year, totaling 42 yards on two returns.

After only one punt this season prior to today, junior Rob Parks punted twice for a 35.0-yard average.
