SERIES INFORMATION
This game was the 104th meeting of one of the nation’s most-played rivalries ... It is tied for the 16th longest in NCAA Division I-A history and the 10th longest uninterrupted series, as the NCAA considers this game the 92nd consecutive year that the two schools have faced each other.
Despite the loss, Ole Miss holds a 59-39-6 advantage in the series dating back to 1901 and a 20-11-3 edge in
This game was the 80th “Battle of the Golden Egg,” as the two schools started playing for the trophy in 1927 ... Ole Miss has a 53-22-5 advantage in the “Egg Bowl.”
The home team has won eight of the last nine games.

OFFENSIVE NOTES
Senior RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis turned in his fifth 100-yard rushing game and ninth of his career with 117 yards on 29 carries with a 14-yard TD in the first quarter ... His 1,137 yards this year ranks second on the Rebel all-time single-season chart ... He finishes his tenure No. 5 on the school’s career rushing list with 2,137 yards and tied for fourth in 100-yard games ... He is only the second player in school history to reach the 1,000-yard single-season mark twice in his career, joining Kayo Dottley (1949 and 1950).
Senior QB Brent Schaeffer and sophomore WR Shay Hodge hooked up for a TD for the third straight game, as the two connected on a 13-yarder in the third quarter.
Making his first start of the year, senior QB Brent Schaeffer finished 10-of-30 for 115 yards with one TD and one interception ... He also rushed for 54 yards.
The Rebels dominated time of possession with a season-high mark of 36:17 to 23:43.
DEFENSIVE NOTES
Junior LB Ashlee Palmer registered his team-high third interception of the year ... Palmer was also credited with five tackles, including a TFL.
Freshman DB Johnny Brown topped the team with seven total tackles with two pass break-ups ... Brown recorded at least six stops in each of the last seven games.
SPECIAL TEAMS NOTES
The Rebels surrendered a return for a TD for the second straight game ... It marked the first punt return for a TD by an Ole Miss opponent since the 2004 Wyoming game.
