The Rebels shot a final round 293 for a total of 872 in the two-day event at the Rio Pinar Country Club. Tennessee Chattanooga (862) fired a 287 in the last round to edge
“In spite of easier conditions, all the teams had a hard time making a move up,” head coach Ernest Ross said. “We didn’t play our best, but we hung onto third place. We are proud of Callum for a fourth place finish.”
Macaulay placed fourth with a three-round total of 215. He was paced by a career-low 66 in the first round, which also turned out to be the low round of the tournament. Macaulay earned his sixth career top-five finish.
Senior Chris Rogers also garnered a top-10 showing, finishing ninth with a 218. He opened with a 76 and then came back with consecutive rounds of 71 for his fourth career top-10 finish.
The Rebs’ other senior, Brice Bailey, carded a 220 to tie for 17th and pick up his third top-20 finish.
Ole Miss, who earned its third top five showing of the year in 54-hole tournament play, will be back in action March 4-6 at the Seminole Intercollegiate in
