DESTIN, FLA.The Ole Miss women’s golf team sits in fourth place after the second round of the FSU/Chrysler Challenge. The Lady Rebels carded a team score of 315 in the second round to give them an overall score of 636.

All but one of the Lady Rebels improved their scores in the second round.

“The wind died down and you can see that in the scores,” said head coach Meghan Bolger. “We played well today. We are just looking for a little more consistency from the four spot.”

Sophomore Dori Carter carded a 74 in the second, moving her into tie for second. The Valdosta, Ga. native shot four more birdies to move her to within two strokes of the leader.

“Dori played well out there again,” said Bolger. “She is continuing to make birdies and move up the chart.”

Sophomore Megan Johnson sits in 29th, while freshman Sara Grantham is tied for 44th. Sophomore Rachel Ingram rounds out the team scoring for the Rebels. Freshman Andrea Buccilla, competing as an individual, sits in 35th.

The final round is scheduled for tomorrow.

“We need to play a little more solid,” said Bolger. “We mainly need more consistency off the tee. We do that, and we can move up tomorrow”

Host Florida State continues to lead with an overall score of 601, followed by North Carolina (621) and the College of Charleston (628).
