Armintie Price Named To 2007 Kodak/WBCA All-America Team

“I was ecstatic when I heard the news,” said Price, a native of Myrtle,
“I would like to give all of the credit to God for all that he has done for me. I would also like to thank all of my teammates, coaches and the entire Ole Miss family for all of their support throughout my career. With them none of this would have been possible."
Joining Price on the squad were senior center Jessica Davenport (Ohio State), junior center Sylvia Fowles (LSU), senior guard Lindsey Harding (Duke), junior forward Crystal Langhorne (Maryland), senior guard Ivory Latta (North Carolina), sophomore guard Angel McCoughtry (Louisville), sophomore center Courtney Paris (Oklahoma), sophomore forward Candace Parker (Tennessee) and junior guard Candice Wiggins (Stanford).
The Kodak/WBCA All-America Team honors the 10 best collegiate women’s basketball players in the nation and is the oldest sponsored award in women’s sports.
Price averaged a team-high 19.1 points, 8.8 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 3.7 steals per game in leading the Rebels to their first Elite Eight appearance in the NCAA Tournament since 1992. She had 15 double-doubles on the season, bringing her career total to 57 and also recorded the first triple-double in Ole Miss history with 34 points, 15 rebounds and 12 steals versus
Price led the NCAA in steals per game with 131 on the season and became just the second player in NCAA history to record over 2,000 points, 1,000 rebounds, 400 assists and 400 steals in a career joining the legendary Cheryl Miller.
Price finished her Ole Miss career ranked third on the all-time scoring chart (2,165), second on the all-time rebounding chart (1,198) and first on the all-time steals chart (403).
