Women's Basketball Awards Banquet Sold Out

OXFORD, Miss. -- The Ole Miss Women's Basketball Awards Banquet scheduled for Sunday, April 15 at 6 p.m. is officially sold out. For the first time in program history, no walk-up tickets will be available for the event as every seat in the Indoor Practice Facility's Banquet Room has already been spoken for through advance purchased tickets.
"I am thrilled that our fans are showing such tremendous support for head coach Carol Ross, her staff and the players," said Fastbreak Club member Sherry Williams, who is one of the coordinators for the event. "The team really deserves everyone's support and I hate to have to turn away Rebel fans, but based upon past attendance, we never dreamed when the banquet was planned that we would need a facility that would hold more than 300 people."
On Sunday, the Rebel players and coaches will be honored with annual awards following dinner. In addition, there will be a season-highlight video presentation and a final farewell to the senior athletes. Ole Miss enjoyed one of its finest seasons in over a decade, posting a 24-11 overall mark, while advancing to the Elite Eight in the 2007 NCAA Tournament.
