Boone Meets with Baseball Stadium Expansion Project Archtiect
5/11/2007 | Baseball
OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss Athletics Director Pete Boone and baseball stadium expansion architect David Lemons of Cook Douglas Farr & Lemons met Thursday in what Boone called "a productive meeting." "The substance of the meeting was to explore cost relating to timing issues, systems and materials," Lemons said. "After additional consultation, we will repackage this project in June." "It was a very productive exchange of ideas," Boone said. "The two main ingredients are cost and revenue. We feel positive that this project will be completed." The meeting was a part of the process to prepare to re-bid the baseball project to expand Oxford-University Stadium after bids received on April 17 were higher than expected. The budget for the project was $11.5 million and the low bid was $18.8 million.
