OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss men's tennis team experienced another excellent year on the hardcourts in 2007. Equally as important, the squad enjoyed an outstanding spring in the classroom.
Seven members of the 2007 team made one of the University's three honor rolls, while Erling Tveit, Matthias Wellermann and Bram ten Berge posted a perfect 4.0 grade point average.
Upcoming junior Jonas Berg and rising seniors Jakob Klaeson and Robbye Poole made the UMAA Honor Roll, while senior to be Chris Rea joined Tveit, Wellermann and ten Berge on the Chancellor's Honor Roll.
Tveit, an ESPN the Magazine CoSIDA District VI Second Team Academic All-America honoree, and Poole, earned All-America honors. Poole became the 20th All-American in the history of the program, while Tveit became the first Rebel to earn All-America honors multiple times in singles and doubles.
The Rebels ended the year ranked No. 7 nationally, captured their sixth consecutive SEC West title and advanced to the NCAA "Sweet Sixteen" for the 12th time in the history of the program.
