OLE MISS NOTES
The Rebels scored a season-high 21 runs in the win, which also ranks as the highest scoring output for Ole Miss in an NCAA Tournament game.
Ole Miss proved to be resilient in the win as the Rebels scored nine of their 21 runs with two outs.
Junior C Alex Kliman knocked in a career-best five runs off a career-high four hits versus the Bearkats.
With four hits, junior LF Justin Henry moved into fourth place on the Ole Miss single season hits chart with 97, while younger brother freshman RF Jordan Henry moved into fifth place on the same list with 95 hits this season.
The Rebels put up 11 runs during the first inning of play in its three Regional games. Ole Miss posted four runs in their opener versus Sam
Houston State on Friday and had one run versus Southern Miss in Saturday's game, before recording six runs versus the Bearkats on Sunday.
Ole Miss tied a season-high with 22 hits in the win.
Ole Miss exploded for nine runs in the bottom of the fourth inning, the most runs they have recorded in a single inning this season.
The Rebels improved to 40-23 on the season, marking the third-straight year and the fourth time in school history they have eclipsed the 40-win mark.
With the win, the Rebels advanced to the NCAA Super Regionals for the third-straight season.
SAM HOUSTON NOTES
The Bearkats fell to 5-8 in NCAA Tournament games, in their fourth Regional appearance.
The Bearkats finished the season 40-24 on the year, marking the second time in the school's Division I history to notch 40 wins. The 1987 team won a school-record 44 games.
Junior CF Keith Stein tallied two hits versus Ole Miss. Stein recorded two or more hits in all four of the Bearkats' NCAA Regional games. He finished the weekend with 11 hits overall.
The Bearkats scored three runs in the top of the first inning giving them at least one run in six-straight innings including their 12-11 win over Southern Miss in the first game of the day.
Sam Houston scored 10 or more runs in both of their Regional games played on Sunday. The Bearkats have posted 10 or more runs in 16 games this season.
