6/8/2007 | Football

OXFORD, Miss. -- The Ole Miss football 2007 opener at Memphis will be televised regionally on CSS, and kickoff has been set at 2:30 p.m. CT on September 1 at the Liberty Bowl. Check local cable listings for availability.

It will mark the Rebel football team's first live appearance on CSS, although the network aired replays of Ole Miss games a year ago. All-time, this will be the team's 157th TV appearance since Ole Miss made its small screen debut in the 1953 Sugar Bowl versus Georgia Tech.

The Mid-South clash with the Tigers is being televised for the third straight year, after ESPN moved the contest to a specially scheduled non-Saturday date the last two seasons. Over the last five years, 38 of the Rebels' 60 games have been on TV.

CSS is part of the Conference USA television package.
