THEN: The Tullahoma, Tenn, native, was a linebacker for the Rebel football team, 2000-03. As a senior, Northcutt was the 2003 Chucky Mullins Courage Award recipient and helped the Rebels finish the year 10-3 and win the Cotton Bowl, marking the third bowl appearance of his tenure. The 6-foot-2, 235-pounder played in every game his final two years, highlighted by an interception and 19-yard return in the 2002 victory over Memphis.

For his efforts in the community, Northcutt was selected to the 2003 AFCA and SEC Good Works Teams and received the SEC Community Service Postgraduate Scholarship. He also was a member and President of a number of organizations such as the Student Leaders Council, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, the M-Club, the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and the FCA Leadership team.

Northcutt excelled in the classroom making the SEC Academic Honor Roll four years. He received his bachelor's degree in exercise science in May 2003 and his master's in higher education and administration in December 2004. Northcutt and his wife, Kimberly, a fellow Ole Miss graduate, were married in July 2006.

"A lot of great things happened to me at Ole Miss," said Northcutt. "I love the school and the city of Oxford. God really blessed me to surround myself with great people such as my lovely wife Kimberly, my football coaches and teammates, sports administrators, Chancellor Khyat, my fraternity, Dr. Tim Angle and the Office of Outreach staff, and the people in the local community. My experiences at Ole Miss helped me become who I am today."

NOW: Northcutt is beginning his third season with the Kansas City Chiefs organization as the Player Development Coordinator. He is responsible for performing daily functions necessary for the successful operations of the Kansas City Chiefs Player Development Program and Football Operations.

Northcutt wears many hats for the Chiefs, as he is responsible for managing the Career Internship, Continuing Education, and Financial Education Programs for team members. He is the liaison for players to coaches, administrators and external resources. He evaluates and scouts college and professional football players and also assists with travel and gameday operations.

Before joining the Chiefs in June 2005, Northcutt worked for the Southeastern Conference in the areas of Championships, Sports Administration, and Marketing.

"Working for the Chiefs is definitely a blessing," Northcutt said. "Like at Ole Miss, I have been able to work for not only a great organization, but good people who give me an opportunity to be successful. Most importantly, I work for the Lord who has made all possible, attainable, profitable, and peaceful in my life."
