Today’s meeting was the sixth all-time between Ole Miss and Missouri.

Missouri leads the all-time series 5-1

Ole Miss is 0-2 against Missouri under head coach Ed Orgeron.

Ole Miss is now 92-15-5 (.821 winning pct.) in home openers.  When playing their home opener in Oxford, the Rebels are 69-7-4 (.863) winning pct.) ... The program is five wins away from 600 all-time at 595-452-35. 

  

GENERAL NOTES

Longtime Rebel fan Mitch Lavinghouze was in attendance for his 401st straight Ole Miss football game.

Ole Miss and Missouri combined for 1,093 total yards, the most since the 2003 Texas Tech game, when the two teams totaled 1,291 yards.

                   

OFFENSIVE NOTES

BenJarvus Green-Ellis went over 200 yards for the first time in his career, finishing with a career-high 226 yards on 33 carries.  It also marked his fifth career game with at least 100 yards.  His 226 yards are the sixth most in a single game in Ole Miss history.

Seth Adams had a career-high 305 yards passing, completing 23 of 41 passes, including three touchdowns.

Seth Adams completed the longest pass of his career, a 68-yard touchdown throw to Mike Wallace, in the third quarter.

The 68-yard touchdown catch by Mike Wallace is the longest reception of his career, and marked his third career TD.

The 68-yard touchdown-pass was the longest pass since a 77-yard touchdown throw from Eli Manning to Chris Collins in the 2002 Mississippi State game.

Shay Hodge notched his first career touchdown, a five-yard catch from Seth Adams with 1:09 to go in the second quarter

Greg Hardy recorded his third career touchdown, a three-yard pass from Seth Adams with 4:24 to go in the third quarter.  It marked the third game in a row for Hardy to notch a touchdown, dating back to the Mississippi State game in 2006.

Mike Wallace had a career-high 136 receiving yards on 7 receptions.

Mike Wallace’s 136 receiving yards are the most by a Rebel since Mario Hill had 187 against Memphis in 2005.

This marks the first time since the 2004 Wyoming game that Ole Miss has had a 100-yard receiver and 100-yard rusher.  In that game Vashon Pearson had 133 yards rushing and Mario Hill had 142 yards receiving.

Ole Miss’ 534 total yards is the most in the Ed Orgeron era, and the most since 567 total yards against Wyoming in 2004.

The last time Ole Miss had 300 yards passing was in the 2004 Wyoming game with 346.

                                                                                                                          

DEFENSIVE NOTES

Jamarca Sanford had a career-high 13 tackles, including 8 solo.

Ashlee Palmer tied his career high with 12 tackles, including a career-best 7 solo tackles.  This marks his second straight game with double-digit tackles.

Kendrick Lewis notched a career-best nine tackles.
