Rebel Duo Advances To Semifinals At All-American

TULSA, Okla. The Ole Miss men’s tennis team is one win away from having a doubles finalist at the D’Novo/ITA All-American Championships for the second year in a row, as the duo of Bram ten Berge and Jonas Berg won three matches on Friday to advance to the semifinals at the at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.

 

They were originally scheduled to play Eduardo Salas and Roman Stoisavljevic from New Mexico State last night, but the match was postponed until Friday.  The Reb duo, ranked No. 9 in the nation, took care of business, winning 8-4. 

 

In the second round ten Berge and Berg defeated the No. 7 seeds, Bryan Koneicko and Justin Kronauge of Ohio State, 8-4.

 

In the quarterfinals, ten Berge and Berg took out the No. 4 seeds, Austin Krajicek and Conor Pollock of Texas A&M, 8-5 to improve to 7-0 on the year. 

 

The Reb pair will square off against Raony Carvalho and Christian Rojmar of Texas Tech in the semifinals Saturday at 2 p.m.  Fans can follow the match by going to www.OleMissSports.com and clicking on the link in the calendar.

First round Bram ten Berge/Jonas Berg (OM) def. Eduardo Salas/Roman Stoisavljevic (NMSU) 8-4.  Second round ten Berge/Berg (OM) def. Bryan Koniecko/Justin Kronauge (OSU) 8-4.  Quarterfinals ten Berge/Berg (OM) def. Austin Krajicek/Conor Pollock (TAMU) 8-5.
