SERIES INFORMATION
The last three four meetings in the series have been decided by four points or less ... The Tide had escaped each of the previous three meetings by three points.
This meeting was the 56th all-time between Ole Miss and Alabama dating back to 1894 ... The Crimson Tide holds a 45-9-2 advantage in the series, including a 46-8-2 lead on-the-field ... Ole Miss received a win by forfeit for Alabama's 19-14 victory in 1993.
The Crimson Tide own a 23-1 advantage in the series in games played in Tuscaloosa, with Ole Miss' only win coming in 1988 when they prevailed 22-12 ... Alabama pulled out a 26-23 overtime win in the previous meeting at Bryant-Denny Stadium in 2006.
GENERAL NOTES
The Rebels faced their first SEC Western Division foe of the year.
Ole Miss head coach Houston Nutt falls to 5-8 against top-five teams, including this year's win at No. 4 Florida ... Ole Miss is 11-24 all-time vs. teams ranked in the top five.
OFFENSIVE NOTES
Ole Miss' 359 yards and 158 rushing yards marked the most surrendered this season by the Alabama defense, which entered the game giving up 262.2 yards per contest and 50.8 on the ground ... The Rebels outrushed the Tide 158-107 and was the first time Alabama had been outrushed this year.
The Rebels scored first for the sixth time in seven games this season ... It marked the first time Alabama had trailed this year.
Sophomore QB Jevan Snead finished 16-of-31 for 192 yards, one TD and one interception ... Snead also rushed for a career-high 23 yards on five attempts.
Junior WR Shay Hodge collected his team-high fifth TD grab of the year on a 17-yarder in the fourth quarter ... Hodge finished with four receptions for 64 yards.
Freshman RB Enrique Davis topped the team with a career-high 70 rushing yards, including a 62-yard run in the first quarter ... Davis came into the game with 87 total rushing yards this year with a previous long of 14 yards.
Senior FB Jason Cook equaled his career best of two receptions for 13 yards ... He also scored his first career TD on a nine-yard rush on a fake field goal in the third quarter.
Sophomore WR Lionel Breaux totaled a career-high 55 receiving yards on a pair of catches ... Breaux has five catches for 76 yards over the last two games.
Sophomore WR Markeith Summers posted his first career offensive yards, rushing for six on a reverse and hauling in a nine-yard pass.
DEFENSIVE NOTES
Ole Miss notched two sacks and boasts eight in the last three games.
Senior LB Ashlee Palmer topped the team with eight total tackles, including a TFL ... He has totaled 17 stops in the last two games.
Senior DT Peria Jerry posted season highs of seven total tackles and three TFLs ... He also notched a sack, forced fumble and QB hurry.
Junior S Kendrick Lewis registered his second interception of the year and his career ... He was also credited with six total stops.
Junior DE Greg Hardy notched a sack to raise his team lead to 3.5 on the year.
SPECIAL TEAMS NOTES
Ole Miss scored a TD off a faked field goal with Jason Cook rushing nine yards for his first career touchdown in the third quarter.
Senior P Rob Park notched his fourth punt of the year of 50 or more yards with his 51-yarder ... Park also pinned two inside the 20 yardline and finished with five punts for an average of 45.4 yards.
Junior K Joshua Shene was perfect on the day, converting both PATs and connecting on a 35-yard and 25-yard FG.
