Our season is almost here, and we are all really excited about playing again. We've been practicing for a few weeks now and we are looking better and better as the days progress. We have been working really hard since our last season ended. I think that everyone has improved since last year. We feel like we are capable of competing with the top teams in the country. Our first game is days away and we can't wait to show how much our hard work over the last several months has paid off.
Practice is going really well. We are trying new things this year and mixing things up a bit. Practices are fun, yet intense which keeps us focused so we can be productive. The team chemistry is amazing. We all get along extremely well and love being each other's teammates. The freshmen are coming along very well. I feel like our leadership will be outstanding this year. We have a lot of players coming back this year, and we are ready to build upon last season.
I personally am excited about being an upper classman and look forward to being able to be a leader. With two years under my belt, I feel like I have more to offer to our team this year. I've been working on different aspects of my game so that I can be a more effective all around player. I think that our team is better than our SEC preseason ranking of eighth, so I'm fired up and ready to prove them wrong.
This year is a new year and we have set high goals for ourselves. We believe that we can make it back to the NCAA tournament.
