11/3/2008 | Football

OXFORD, Miss. -- After helping the Rebels rush past Auburn, Ole Miss' Maurice Miller was named the SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week, the league office announced today.

A senior guard from West Helena, Ark., Miller graded out at 92 percent in Saturday's 17-7 victory over the Tigers and had 16 finishing blocks and four knockdowns. The Ole Miss offensive attack had 233 rushing yards, the most by the Rebels since posting 240 since 2006, and Ole Miss kept the football for 16:50 time of possession in the second half.

Miller picks up the Rebels' fifth weekly award from the conference this year and the first of his career.

Riding a two-game win streak, Ole Miss (5-4, 3-3 SEC) has a bye this week before returning to action against ULM on Nov. 15.
