Oher, Hardy Earn Preseason All-America Honors

OXFORD, Miss. Ole Miss’ Michael Oher and Greg Hardy received Preseason All-America accolades Wednesday, as NationalChamps.net named Oher to its first team and Hardy to the third team.

Oher, a rising senior offensive lineman, garnered Fourth Team All-American honors last season and is a two-time All-SEC selection. Oher has been distinguished on the preliminary watch lists for the 2008 Rotary Lombardi Award and Outland Trophy.

A high school teammate of Oher at Memphis’ Briarcrest Christian and fellow preseason candidate for the Lombardi Award, Hardy also picked up All-America honors in 2007, being named a second-team defensive end by the Walter Camp Football Foundation. The rising junior finished fourth in the nation in TFLs with 18.5 and tied for sixth in sacks with an SEC-high 10.
