Lady Rebel Golfers To Compete In Crimson Tide Classic

OXFORD, Miss. The Ole Miss women’s golf team will conclude the regular season this weekend at the Crimson Tide hosted by the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Ala.  The classic will feature 12 teams and will begin on Friday with the final round slated for Sunday. All three rounds will be played at the par-72, 6494 yard Ol' Colony Golf Course.

 

Other teams competing in the tournament include Kentucky from the SEC as well as UAB, South Alabama, Samford, Jacksonville State and Troy, all hailing from the state of Alabama. Stetson, Murray State and Boston College will make the trek to Tuscaloosa this weekend.

 

Ole Miss, Stetson and South Alabama will start the classic off with a 7:40 a.m., tee time on Friday.

 

Leading the way for the Lady Rebels, will be junior Dori Carter, who has been the team’s top finisher in every tournament this year.

She owns seven top-20 finishes this season.  She will to get help from her teammates this weekend, as the team tries to close out their last tournament before the SEC Championship, on a high note.

 

Joining Carter on the links will be sophomore Sara Grantham, juniors Rachel Ingram and J.J. Flynn and freshman Jill Brodd.  Sophomore Andrea Buccilla will compete as an individual.
