Five Rebel Netters Ready For NCAA Individual Championships

Only singles will be played on Wednesday, with doubles beginning on Thursday. Ole Miss has three in the 64-player singles draw and two teams in the 32-team doubles field. Erling Tveit, ranked No. 22 in the nation, is making his third consecutive NCAA appearance in singles and doubles and will face Texas Tech’s Bojan Szumanski, in the first round Wednesday at 2 p.m. A two-time All-American in singles and doubles, Tveit advanced to the singles’ semifinals in 2006, and last year he reached the quarterfinals in doubles with former All-American Eric Claesson. Robbye Poole, making his second straight NCAA singles showing, will face Matthias Wellermann, ranked No. 31, is making his first appearance in the NCAA Individual Championships in both singles and doubles.
