Incoming Freshman Finishes Sixth At Tennessee Junior Amateur

CORDOVA, Tenn. Incoming freshman Ole Miss golfer Joe David fired a 6-under 65 in the closing round of the Tennessee Junior Amateur Thursday at Colonial Country Club, on his way to a sixth-place finish.

 

After opening with a 72 and following up with a 75 in the second round, the two-time winner of this event came into the final round in a tie for 13th. David, a native of Madison, Tenn., posted seven birdies, including on four of the first eight holes, to make his move with the low round of the day.

The TGA Boy’s Junior Amateur is one of 15 state championships that the Tennessee Golf Association conducts annually.
