Meet The Rebels Day Set for Saturday

OXFORD, Miss. The Ole Miss football and volleyball teams will greet fans Saturday as part of "Meet the Rebels Day" festivities at the Indoor Practice Facility on campus.
The event, which attracted approximately 2,000 fans last year, begins at noon with the UMAA Foundation membership luncheon on the IPF playing field. The price is $10 per box lunch and may be paid on Saturday by cash or check.
Houston Nutt and the Ole Miss football coaches will address the crowd at 1:30 p.m., and will join the Rebel players in signing autographs and meeting fans from 2 until 4 p.m. A maximum of two items per person may be signed.
Posters and schedule cards will be handed out, and in a rare opportunity, the athletics department will be selling official team gear. Game jerseys and an assortment of practice apparel will be for sale along with a limited number of team helmets. UMAA Foundation apparel will also be sold, while the 2008 media guide will be available for $15.
Three prizes will be raffled off Saturday by the UMAA Foundation: a football signed by the entire Ole Miss squad; two pre-game field passes for the South Carolina game; and two Rebel Club passes for the Auburn game. Raffle tickets are $5, and you must be present to win.
Following festivities in the IPF, the Rebel volleyball team will an open scrimmage at the Gillom Center, and fans are encouraged to attend.
"Meet the Rebels Day" will conclude with the football team holding an intra-squad scrimmage inside of Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. The scrimmage is set to begin at 6 p.m. and will be open to the public.
