It was the second of his career and the first by a Rebel since Green's 44-yarder for a score in last year's LSU game. 8:19 p.m.: Cassius Vaughn gets his first career sack on a corner blitz on the final play of the third quarter. It was the first sack of the game for either team. Rebels take a 20-point lead into the final stanza. 7:53 p.m.: Enrique Davis rumbled in between tackles from four yards out to cap a successful opening drive to the second half for the Rebels. it is Davis' second rushing TD of his freshman year. Official attendance for today's game is 52,780. 7:19 p.m.: Three straight long passes to Hodge, Wallace and Breaux set up a 12-yard TD run for Cordera Eason. It is the first career rushing touchdown for Eason and a 90-yard scoring drive for the Rebels for the third straight game, going 91 yards in five plays in 51 seconds. 7:11 p.m.: The Rebel crowd was originally in shock after Samford's Riley Hawkins took the ensuing kickoff 91 yards for the TD. However, it was ruled that he stepped out of bounds at the Ole Miss 39 yardline. 7:07 p.m.: Brandon Bolden scores his second TD of the year on a 6-yard rush off a direct snap in the Wild Rebel. 7:02 p.m.: Snead just threw a 23-yard strike across the middle to Mike Wallace who went to a knee to haul it in at the 23-yardline. It's the longest play of the game thus far for Ole Miss who is nearing the red zone for the first time since the opening drive. 6:44 p.m.: On the Rebels' first long pass attempt of the game, Snead's 21-yard toss sailed just pass Shay Hodge in the back of the endzone on 3rd down and 6. Shene connects on his second field goal of the game to pull the Rebels within a point, 7-6. He is 4-for-4 in FGs this season and has made 7 of his last 8 going back to Auburn last year. 6:35 p.m.: The Bulldogs jump ahead 7-3 on a 13-yard reverse by Riley Hawkins on the first play after the pick. 6:31 p.m.: Snead's pass is intercepted by Samford's Jeremy Richardson, who returned it 36 yards to the Rebel 13 yardline. Richardson was down on the field for several minutes after his knee buckled out on the return. The injury on the video board replay drew gasps from the crowd on hand. 6:19 p.m.: For the first time this year, Ole Miss scored on its first drive, getting a 33-yard FG from Joshua Shene. 6:12 p.m.: Samford's field goal went wide right after they opened the game with a long 13-play drive. Ole Miss opened the game with four wide receivers, including Lionel Breaux's first career start. 5:57 p.m.: Ole Miss takes the field in their blue jerseys. The student section is close to capacity, as the rest of the stands are still filling. Samford won the toss and elects to receive.
