OleMissSports.com is also offering a live blog from Ben Hill Griffin Stadium during the game as well as a recap and photo gallery at the conclusion. Please refresh page for updates. 3:00 p.m. CT: The Rebel football program earned its 600th win and earns its first victory over a top-five foe since a 20-13 triumph over No. 3 Notre Dame in 1977 in Jackson. 2:41 p.m. CT: Ole Miss keeps the lead with Kentrell Lockett's heroic PAT block with 3:20 left. It marked the Rebels' first extra point block since John Jerry's block in the 2006 LSU game in Baton Rouge. 2:34 p.m. CT: In the longest pass in Rebel history, Snead connects with Hodge on an 86-yard bomb to put Ole Miss on top with 5:26 left. Hodge was alone behind the defense, caught the ball at the Rebel 43 yardline and sprinted pass the secondary for the stadium-quieting score. 2:01 p.m. CT: The Wild Rebel strikes again on a 40-yard dash up the middle from Dexter McCluster, who took the direct snap. Daverin Geralds and John Jerry provided a giant gap for McCluster to dart through. Check out the first two pictures in the photo gallery above. 1:56 p.m. CT: Greg Hardy is looking like his old self. He just sacked Tebow and pressured him on third down to force the punt. In less than two games, he already has 2.5 sacks. 1:35 p.m. CT: After no turnovers all year, Florida commits three today. Marcus Tillman recovers a Tebow fumble, and the Rebels convert it into seven. Snead tossed an 18-yard screen pass to Cordera Eason for an 18-yard game-tying score. Eason has scored a touchdown in three of the last four games. 1:29 p.m. CT: Ole Miss turns the turnover into points as Joshua Shene drills a 33-yard field goal to pull the Rebels within a touchdown of the Gators. 1:24 p.m. CT: Rebels force another turnover, this time Peria Jerry strips Harvin on Florida's opening drive of the half. 1:00 p.m. CT: Ole Miss trails at halftime for the first time this year, 17-7. 12:50 p.m. CT: After a school-record 202 kickoff return yards last week, Mike Wallace just struck for a 37-yarder following the Tebow TD. Tack on a 15-yard personal foul and the Rebels start at the Florida 40 with a little over a minute left in the half. 12:38 p.m. CT: Ole Miss forces Florida into its first turnover of the year, with Cassius Vaughn ripping the ball away from Aaron Hernandez at the Florida 35 yardline. There was some confusion on the play as the officials initially said it would be a replay of third down on a UF penalty, but then changed the verdict. 12:21 p.m. CT: The Gators jump on top 10-7 on a 43-yard pass from Tim Tebow to Percy Harvin on a play that was nearly an interception return TD for the Rebels. The toss just sailed over the fingertips of safety Kendrick Lewis at the 30-yardline, and Lewis would have had plenty of room to run in front of him. 12:06 p.m. CT: Like last year, Ole Miss leads the favored Gators after one quarter. The Rebels led after the first in two of the first four games (tied in one) and has outscored the opposition 48-35 in the opening stanza. 11:54 a.m. CT: Jevan Snead picks up his first rushing TD at Ole Miss on a 1-yard naked bootleg. This is the first time Florida has trailed this year. 11:48 a.m. CT: Ole Miss ran its first fake punt of the year and it was a success, as Lionel Breaux runs the reverse for a 15-yard gain and a first down. It was the Rebels' first first down off a fake punt since Jamarca Sanford's 5-yard run in last year's Vanderbilt game. 11:35 a.m. CT: A few changes in the starting lineup today: Reid Neely, who started all 12 games last year, returned to the starting lineup today on the offensive line. Also, linebacker Patrick Trahan earned his first start as a Rebel. | |||||||||||||||||||
