SERIES INFORMATION

Today's meeting was the second all-time between Ole Miss and Wake Forest ... The Demon Deacons have taken both encounters.

The Rebels' last win over an ACC foe was a 41-18 win over Georgia Tech in the Peach Bowl to conclude the 1971 season.

GENERAL NOTES

Ole Miss made its first TV appearance of the year and its first game on ABC since 2002.

Despite the loss, the Rebels have won seven of their last 13 road openers.

The Rebels remain two wins away from 600 all-time at 598-461-35.

Ole Miss was bidding for its first win over a ranked opponent since the 31-28 victory over No. 25 South Carolina in 2004, which was also on the road.

OFFENSIVE NOTES

For the second straight game, Ole Miss managed a 90-plus yard touchdown drive with the nine play, 94 yard drive that lasted 3:39 in the first quarter.

Sophomore QB Jevan Snead became the first Rebel with four TD passes since Eli Manning in the 2003 Memphis game ... Snead finished 20-of-31 for 253 yards with one interception ... He also connected with six different receivers.

Junior RB Cordera Eason collected his first career touchdown with the five-yard catch with 1:01 remaining in the game ... He totaled a career-best four receptions for 26 yards.

Junior WR Shay Hodge grappled for a 28-yard TD toss from Snead, who narrowly avoided a sack off a corner blitz ... He topped the team with five grabs for 66 yards ... Hodge has three touchdowns in the first two games.

Junior TE Gerald Harris picked up his first TD on a four-yard toss from Jevan Snead ... Harris' TD was the first by a Rebel tight end since Lawrence Lilly in the 2006 Auburn game.

After no catches in the opener, senior WR Mike Wallace collected four receptions for 50 yards.

Junior WR Dexter McCluster scored a TD for the second straight game, grabbing a 31-yard scoring pass from Snead ... McCluster finished with four receptions for 64 yards ... He also attempted his first passes, going 0-for-2 with an interception.

Freshman RB Brandon Bolden grabbed his first career pass on a 33-yard toss from Snead on a double reverse out of the Wild Rebel ... He led the team in rushing for the second week in a row with eight carries for 36 yards.

Sophomore WR Lionel Breaux recorded his first career rush on six-yard end around.

DEFENSIVE NOTES

After no QB sacks in the opener, the Ole Miss defense posted four against Wake Forest, including the first career sacks for Allen Walker, Jonathan Cornell and Lawon Scott.

Junior S Kendrick Lewis led the team and equaled his career high with nine total tackles and has registered seven or more in each of the first two games.

Senior S Jamarca Sanford was credited with eight total stops with a TFL and a forced fumble.

Senior DT Peria Jerry saw his first action of the season.

Senior DE Jermey Parnell saw his first action on the Rebel football team ... Parnell was a four-year letterwinner on the Ole Miss basketball team.

SPECIAL TEAMS NOTES

Sophomore WR Lionel Breaux notched his first career kickoff return and took it 24 yards.

Junior Justin Sparks posted a career-best three touchbacks.
