Hello Rebel Fans, Wow! I can’t believe I’m already halfway through my senior year. Time has really flown by so fast, and it just makes me think back to my freshman year and how much I have matured and grown as a player and a person since that time. As I have seen over the past three years, every year a new senior class arises and now it is my time. It’s my time to look back and realize how much I have enjoyed the past few years of my college experience, and now it’s time to capitalize on the semester that I have left. I know it’s going to be so much fun!! After saying all that, Sunday was a GREAT day because we picked up another SEC win after beating Alabama! The team had an opportunity to experience great fan support from friends, family and even former Ole Miss players. It was a very special win over Alabama because it meant I got to be a part of the program’s 700th all-time victory. It was also very rewarding to have many of the former players who contributed to many of the 700 victories in attendance watching us achieve such a historic win. We also got a chance to sit down and speak with the former players and talk to them about their playing years and how basketball has changed since they were part of the program. It was really amazing to listen to their stories. The Alabama win improved us to 2-1 inside the SEC. We have had a great start to conference play especially after beating Georgia at home to open conference play. That was a great birthday present for me!! Unfortunately, we let a game slip away at Mississippi State. Since that loss, we have been focusing on playing hard for 40 minutes and with poise under pressure. We are taking each game one at a time and focusing on getting better and playing smarter everyday at practice. Now I hope we can all take what we have learned and finish the year strong!!!
