  • This meeting was the 57th all-time between Ole Miss and Alabama dating back to 1894.
  • The Crimson Tide holds a 46-9-2 advantage in the series, including a 47-8-2 lead on-the-field ... Ole Missreceived a win by forfeit for Alabama's 19-14 victory in 1993 ... The Tide has won six straight in the series.
  • Alabama boasts a 7-2 on-the-field edge in Oxford, although the Tide has just a 3-2 edge in the last five encounters at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.

  • Today's attendance was 62,657, which is a new Vaught-Hemingway Stadium record ... It surpassed the old record of 62,552 set against LSU in 2003 ... It is the third-highest attendance ever for a football game in the state of Mississippi, behind 1) 64,112 for 1981 Mississippi State-Southern Miss (Jackson); and 2)63,808 for 1983 Mississippi Valley State-Alcorn State (Jackson).
  • The last time Ole Miss was shut out in the first half was the 2007 Arkansas game at home.
  • Alabama's first field goal of the game marks the only points Ole Miss has allowed in the first quarter this year.
  • Ole Miss failed to score in the first quarter for the first time in nine games, since last year's Auburn game ... The Rebels trailed after the first quarter for the first time since the Cotton Bowl win over Texas Tech.
  • The Rebels are off to a 3-2 start for the second straight year.

OFFENSIVE NOTES

  • Sophomore RB Brandon Bolden notched career bests of four receptions and 76 receiving yards ... He boasts seven catches for 98 yards over his last two games ... Bolden finished today with 127 all-purpose yards.
  • Bolden led five Rebel receivers with a reception, including Dexter McCluster with three for 22 yards and Shay Hodge with two for 21.
  • Junior QB Jevan Snead had his streak of 13 straight games with a TD completion come to end. Snead's streak ranks second on the Rebel all-time list (three short) behind Eli Manning's school record ... Snead led the team in rushing for the first time in his career with a career-high 44 yards ... He finished 11-for-34 for 140 yards with four interceptions, which tied his career high.

DEFENSIVE NOTES

  • The Rebel defense was credited with seven QB hurries.
  • Junior S Johnny Brown posted notched his second double-figure tackle performance of the year and his career, totaling 10 stops, including seven solos.
  • Senior LB Patrick Trahan was credited with seven tackles ... He has totaled 17 stops in the last two games.
  • Senior S Kendrick Lewis totaled seven tackles, one TFL and two pass break-ups.

SPECIAL TEAMS NOTES

  • Freshman P Tyler Campbell posted a career-long 71-yard punt, which is the longest by a Rebel since Cody Ridgeway's 75-yarder in the 2001 Georgia game.
  • Senior K Joshua Shene's converted his lone FG attempt from 25 yards ... Shene remains perfect in field goals at 5-for-5.
  • Senior Dexter McCluster returned his first punt of the year with a nine-yarder in the third quarter ... It marked his first return of any sort since the 2007 season.
