Final Round Of Brickyard Rained Out

MACON, Ga. - The final round of the Brickyard Collegiate was cancelled Monday due to rain, with Ole Miss finishing in a tie for seventh among the 15-team field at The Brickyard at Riverside.
The Rebels were just four back of the top five heading into the final round and hoping to make a move with a solid showing on Monday, but the weather had other plans.
"We're disappointed that we didn't get to finish and possibly move up today," head coach Ernest Ross said. "I feel like our team is making progress this fall. We are looking forward to closing the fall season on a high note at LSU in two weeks."
Sophomore Billy Brozovich of Greenville shot 72-73--145 and tied for 21st, to lead the Rebels.
Augusta State shot 13-under 563 to win the tournament. Clemson (576) and Chattanooga (576) tied for second, while Georgia (579) and VCU (584) rounded out the top five. Russell Henley of Georgia fired a 69-65--134 to capture medalist honors.
The Rebels will conclude the fall portion of their schedule Oct. 26-27 at the David Toms Intercollegiate in Baton Rouge, La.
