In addition to live stats and audio, OleMissSports.com will also provide another edition of Blog From The Box with live updates and insight from the Vaught-Hemingway Stadium press box. On this blog, we'll attempt to answer your questions about the game, its coverage and the teams involved. If you have a question, please e-mail webchat@olemiss.edu. The blog is also easily accessible on smartphones by typing m.olemisssports.com (no www) in the browser. Please refresh page for updates.

9:09 pm: Zahn kicks a 34-ysard field goal as time expires and Ole Miss gets a 48-13 Homecoming win over the UAB Blazers. Nice overall game for the Rebels. Hope you've enjoyed the blog from the box at your desktop, laptop or PDA somewhere in the world. From the Ole Miss athletics media relations staff, thank you and good night. Blogger, out.

8:54 pm: Thanks for sending in your emails. A reminder that tonight's attendance is 47,612. UAB's drive stalls after getting into the red zone, but Josh Zahn kicks a 43-yard field goal to bring the score to 48-10. We've got 7:18 left in the game and both teams have brought in second and third teams to replace all the starters.

8:46 pm: Even after taking out the starters, Ole Miss does not let up on offense as Nathan Stanley tosses a 22-yard TD pass to Andrew Harris along the right side. It was the first career touchdown for both Stanley and Harris. Rebs now lead 48-7 with 10:16 left in the contest.

8:35 pm: UAB dents the scoreboard for the first time this evening on a 3-yard run by Webb. After the PAT, the score is Ole Miss 41, UAB 7. Webb has now rushed 17 times for 121 yards out of his quarterback position. 14:17 left in the game.

8:31 pm: At the end of the 3rd quarter, Ole Miss is up 41-0 and looking to improve its all-time homecoming record to 66-14-2, including 12 of the last 13 if this score stands.

8:23 pm: Snead's 2-yard toss to fullback Andy Hartmann capped a 14-play, 85-yard drive that lasted almost six minutes to put the Rebels firmly ahead 41-0 after a Shene PAT. 2:39 left in the 3rd quarter.

8:08 pm: In answer to Robert's question, and for anyone else wondering, today's attendance is 47,612.

8:00 pm: After UAB punts, Ole Miss takes just one play to score. Snead tosses a 65-yarder over the top of the UAB defense to a streaking Markeith Summers to give the Rebs a 34-0 lead after the Shene PAT. It's Summers' third TD reception of the season which ties for the team lead.

7:55 pm: The second half has resumed with Ole Miss kicking off to the Blazers.

7:45 pm: At the half, Ole Miss leads 27-0. Rodney Scott has a pair of touchdowns on 8 rushes for 51 yards. He is the first Rebel with two TD runs in a game since BenJarvus Green-Ellis in 2007. Snead is 9-for-14 passing for 103 yards and a TD.

7:26 pm: A shifty Rodney Scott carries 25 yards to the house for his second TD of the day and of his career. Scott made a couple of moves to get to the hole and then broke a tackle and carried a defender into the endzone as the Rebels take a 27-0 lead following the Shene PAT. 1:46 left until halftime.

7:18 pm: Rebel safety Johnny Brown intercepted a Joe Webb pass, but the Rebels were called offsides to negate the turnover.

7:14 pm: Rodney Scott took a sweep to the right and punched in another Rebel score to make it 20-0. It was the first TD of the true freshman's career. The PAT failed after the snap was mishandled. Ole Miss 20, UAB 0 with 5:16 left in the 1st half.

7:10 pm: After a couple of small injury scares, both running back Brandon Bolden and safety Kendrick Lewis are back on the field. In fact, Bolden just had a 35-yard scamper in which he broke a couple of Blazer tackles as the Rebels drive down the field.

7:00 pm: Jevan Snead tosses a 20-yard TD pass down the middle to Lionel Breaux and the Rebs take a 14-0 lead (after a Shene PAT) with 11:09 left in the first half. It marks the first career touchdown for Breaux.

6:55 pm: The teams have traded punts, including a very nice one by Tyler Campbell that pinned the Blazers back at their own 1 yard line.

6:47 pm: At the end of the first quarter, the Rebels lead 7-0. The home team is driving with the ball on their own 40 when the second quarter begins.

6:43 pm: Josh Zahn's 40-yard field-goal attempt is wide left and the Rebels keep the Blazers off the scoreboard yet again, despite a sensational 50-yard run by Webb and another circus scramble and short pass.

6:32 pm: UAB drives down the field, including a nice 26-yard run by QB Joe Webb, but Webb's pass into the endzone is intercepted by cornerback Jeremy McGee, who returns the ball out to the 18 yard line. Still 7-0 Rebs with just over 5 minutes left in the first quarter.

6:21 pm: The Rebel "D" holds and forced a UAB punt, which was a nice one that pinned the Rebels back at their own 4 to start their first drive of the game.

6:09 pm: Before this blogger could type the last sentence, Jesse Grandy returned the opening kickoff for 88 yards and a touchdown. Joshua Shene added the extra point and the Rebels lead 7-0 after just 13 seconds came off the clock. The team's last opening kickoff return for a TD was by Rebel great Deuce McAllister against Arkansas in Oxford in 1999.

6:07 pm: Chancellor Dan Jones gave a rousing version of the "Are You Ready?" for the Rebel faithful. UAB won the toss and deferred to the second half. Ole Miss chose to receive the kickoff.

6:04 pm: The Rebels charge onto the field wearing navy blue jerseys and gray pants. The visiting UAB Blazers are in white tops and old gold pants. Ole Miss captains are Kendrick Lewis, John Jerry, Daverin Geralds and Marcus Tillman.

5:53 pm: The Pride of the South band is on the field pumping up the homecoming crowd. The air is a chilly 48 degrees, but at least it's not raining right now.

5:30 pm: Former Rebel great John "Kayo" Dottley is among six outstanding Alumni being recognized in pre-game ceremonies today. During halftime ceremonies, several Ole Miss student-athletes will be represented as members of the homecoming court. Zach Graham and Eniel Polynice from men's basketball, Tim Ferguson and Taylor Hashman from Baseball, and Christopher Bush, Matt Daniels, Colin Moleton, Lee Ellis Moore and Bryce Willen from track and field are homecoming escorts. Softball senior Amber Tramp and head football coach Houston Nutt's daughters are homecoming maids. Tramp is a senior maid, while Hanna Nutt was selected a junior maid, and Hailey Nutt was voted a sophomore maid.
