Rebels Host Arkansas In Season Finale Wednesday

It will be the final match of the season for the Rebels.
Ole Miss enters the mid-week contest coming off a weekend split in a pair of matches this past weekend when the Rebels defeated Georgia on Friday night before falling to Auburn on Senior Day this past Sunday.
"We're glad to be at home during the holiday season and hopefully will have a good turnout at the Gillom Center as we play our last match of the year," said Ole Miss head coach Joe Getzin.
Freshman Courtney Cunningham played a critical role for the Rebels in the win over the Bulldogs as she hit .750 for the match with 16 kills on 20 attacks and only one error. She combined with sophomore middle blocker Regina Thomas for a solid middle attack as Thomas added seven kills on 14 swings and recorded no errors.
Thomas then followed that up with another outstanding match on Sunday, hitting .500 against the Tigers with 14 kills on 24 swings and only two attack errors.
Ole Miss will also be looking to the arm of sophomore outside hitter Katie Norris as the outside hitter returned from injury two weeks ago. Norris leads the team in kills with 3.51 kills per set and has put down 288 kills on the year.
Arkansas enters the match coming off a weekend split with a win over Auburn on Friday night, but fell to Georgia on Sunday in Fayetteville.
The Razorbacks are led by freshman Jasmine Norton, who averages 4.12 kills per set and has been named the SEC Freshman of the Week multiple times this season. Norton has put down 470 kills this season to lead the Razorbacks in that category. Lindsay Scanlon sets the offense for Arkansas with almost 10 assists a set.
Defensively, it's been Phoebe Bautista leading the way for the Razorbacks as she averages almost four digs per set to pace the back row defense.
