Baldwin Posts NCAA Provisional Mark At Tyson Invitational

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. Ole Miss sophomore LaJada Baldwin turned in an NCAA provisional time of 54.28 in the 400 meters to highlight competition for the Rebels Friday afternoon in the first day of the Tyson Invitational. 

 

Baldwin finished in sixth place in the 400 meters after recording her fastest time of the season thus far.  Baldwin has finished in the top-6 in the event in every meet in which she has competed so far this season. 

 

Sophomore Juliana Smith turned in an eighth place showing for the women’s team in the weight throw with a distance of 56-03.00. 

 

On the men’s side, freshman Caleb Lee posted a ninth place finish in the long jump with a distance of 23-01.75. 

 

Senior thrower Derek McGuire claimed a third place finish with a distance of 54-04.50 in the shot put. 

 

Senior Karl Kosman recorded the fifth best mark in school history in the pole vault as he earned a height of 15-09.25 on his way to a 16th place finish. 

 

Ole Miss continues its competition at the Tyson Invitational Saturday morning at 10 a.m. with the women’s high jump.
