Two Rebels Dismissed From Football Team

2/25/2009 | Football

OXFORD, Miss. -- Ole Miss head coach Houston Nutt announced Wednesday that Justin Sanders and James Scott have been dismissed from the Rebel football squad for "violation of team rules."

A defensive tackle from New Market, Ala., Sanders did not see action in his two seasons at Ole Miss. He was as a SuperPrep All-Region selection in high school and rated the No. 27 recruit in the state of Alabama.

Scott transferred to Ole Miss from Ohio State in September and sat out the 2008 season due to the NCAA transfer rule. The Dayton Beach, Fla., native saw action in nine games for the Buckeyes in 2007 and was credited with six total tackles.
