Rebel Volleyball To Host Spring Tournament This Weekend

OXFORD, Miss. Ole Miss fans don’t have to wait until this fall to see the Rebel Volleyball team in action as Ole Miss will host its annual spring tournament this weekend.

Beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, four teams will take to the court throughout the day to showcase their skills at the Gillom Sports Center on campus. Admission is free.

Ole Miss will take on Christian Brothers in the first match at 10 a.m.

“This is a great opportunity for us to reconnect with our fans,” said Ole Miss head coach Joe Getzin. “It’s our one home tournament and a chance to show off how we have progressed this spring. We really welcome all of our Ole Miss volleyball fans coming out and participating in the event.”

The tournament will have four teams participating in the tournament including the hometown Rebels. Also competing will be: Arkansas State, Christian Brothers University, and Mississippi State.

TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE (Saturday, March 7)

10 a.m.            Ole Miss vs. Christian Brothers

11 a.m.             Mississippi State vs. Arkansas State

12 p.m.           Ole Miss vs. Mississippi State

1 p.m.              Arkansas State vs. Christian Brothers

2 p.m.              Christian Brothers vs. Mississippi State

3 p.m.              Ole Miss vs. Arkansas State
