“It’s nice to finish my senior year strong and make a lasting mark at Ole Miss,” Carter said. “I’ve had a lot of success this year, especially last semester. It’s exciting to be preparing for regionals as a team. We’re all working hard to achieve one goal. It’s more motivation for me to have my teammates be there.”
Carter owns a team-leading 72.60 stroke average with one tournament title and four top-five finishes. She won the Rebel Intercollegiate to capture her first career title. Carter led the Rebels to five top-five finishes this year, including winning their first tournament title (Johnie Imes) since 2004 and their best finish in the SEC (seventh) since 1999.
The Rebels are expected to receive their first bid to NCAA Regionals since 2004. The selections will be announced Monday, April 27.
