Watch The NCAA Tennis Selection Show Live Tuesday

OXFORD, Miss. Fans are invited to join Billy Chadwick, head coach of the Ole Miss men’s tennis team, and Mark Beyers, head coach of the Rebel women’s tennis team, at the Library on the Oxford square Tuesday, April 28 for the NCAA Championships Selection Show.  The 64-team brackets and 16 regional host sites will be announced beginning at approximately 4:20 p.m., on ESPNews.

 

The Rebels, currently ranked No. 2 in the nation, won the overall SEC Championship for the fifth time in the history of the program, as well as their eighth consecutive SEC Western Division title. 

 

They are the top seed in the SEC Tournament, which began Thursday in Auburn, Ala.  Ole Miss received a first round bye and will face the No. 8 Seed, LSU, Friday at 11 a.m.     

 

The women’s team, currently ranked No. 26, is enjoying their best season since 2005, earning the No. 7 seed in the SEC Tournament in Fayetteville, Ark.  They played LSU, the 10th seed, Thursday at 2:30 p.m.

The NCAA first and second rounds will take place May 8-10 at various sites across the country, with the Final 16 to be held in College Station, Texas May 14-19.
