Rebel Golfers Hope Third Time Is The Charm

Ole Miss is making its third consecutive NCAA Regional appearance, but the previous two trips, they did not advance to the NCAA Finals, something they hope to do this year.
“This is the time of the season where you can define your program,” head coach Ernest Ross said. “We have worked hard to put ourselves in position for a good finish. As a team, we need to climb this hill’ and make it to Finals. With the new smaller field format I know it will be a tight, pressure-packed tournament.”

The Rebels will send a young team out on the course Thursday, but several members do have some experience playing on this level. Sophomore Jonathan Randolph and senior Jesse Speirs competed in last year’s NCAA East Regional for the Rebels, while junior Will Roebuck was a member of the 2007 NCAA East Regional team. They will be joined by freshmen Joe David and Billy Brozovich.
