Eleven Rebels Earn Preseason Football Honors

CLEVELAND, Ohio A total of 11 Ole Miss Rebels received preseason honors Wednesday, as Phil Steele announced his preseason All-American and All-Conference football teams.

A pair of Rebels were distinguished as All-Americans with senior defensive end Greg Hardy on the second team and senior offensive tackle John Jerry on the third team.

Jerry also made Steeles' All-SEC first team, while Hardy was named to the second team, along with quarterback Jevan Snead, wide receivers Shay Hodge and Dexter McCluster, center Daverin Geralds and kicker Joshua Shene.

In addition, Ole Miss offensive guard Reid Neely, running back Cordera Eason, punt returner Marshay Green and safety Kendrick Lewis earned all-league fourth team status. Click here for Steele's complete preseason award winners (PDF).
