OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss men's golf team heads back to Georgia for the second time this season, for the fourth annual Brickyard Collegiate hosted by Mercer University Oct. 8-10 at the Brickyard at Riverside.
The 15 team field is highlighted by the 2010 NCAA Champions and defending Brickyard Collegiate Champions Augusta State University.
Among the other teams competing in the fourth-year event are the two-time Brickyard Collegiate Champions and 2010 SEC Champions, Georgia, the 2010 ACC champions, Georgia Tech, Boston College, Chattanooga, Clemson, Colorado State, Florida State, Gonzaga, Mercer, North Florida, Oklahoma, Texas-Arlington and Virginia Tech.
Leading the Rebels this week is All-American Jonathan Randolph, who tied for fourth in the team's last outing at the Mason Rudolph Championship. Joining Randolph will be Billy Brozovich, Joe David, Pete Kellermann and Chris Mullhaupt.
"We are excited to play at the Brickyard," head coach Ernest Ross said. "The field is very strong. Our team competed well last year, and I like our lineup for this week. I hear the course is playing much drier and faster this year, so this will emphasize scoring skills over pure distance. We have worked hard in preparing for this."
