Rebel Rifle To Host NC State

OXFORD, Miss. - Fresh off a fifth-place finish at the Ole Miss Invitational to open the season, the Rebel rifle team will host NC State this Saturday at the Patricia C. Lamar National Guard Readiness Center in Oxford.
Keely Stankey, a junior from Minneapolis, Minn., led the way for the Rebels at the Ole Miss Invitational, firing a team-high 584 in the air rifle. Seniors Meredith Holman and Colleen Tillson and freshman Abbey Stanec all finished close behind with a score 582, while junior Kim Coffey posted a mark of 578. Ole Miss closed with a team air aggregate of 2330.
In the smallbore, Stankey also led the squad firing a total of 572. Holman's total of 570 finished just behind Stankey and Stanec placed third on the team with a mark of 566. Tillson rounded out the Rebels' smallbore scoring with a mark of 564 to give the team a smallbore aggregate of 2272 and a team aggregate of 4602.
All Ole Miss home matches take place at the Patricia C. Lamar National Guard Readiness located off Hwy. 7 and are open to the public. Competition begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
