OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss volleyball team (17-8, 11-5 SEC) closes out the road portion of the regular season this weekend looking to sweep two season series with a pair of matches at Georgia and Auburn.

The Rebels will take on Georgia (13-15, 4-12 SEC) on Friday night at 6 p.m. CT before facing the Auburn (17-11, 8-8 SEC) at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. Ole Miss defeated both teams earlier in the season in Oxford.

"It's an important weekend for us playing two very important road matches," said Ole Miss head coach Joe Getzin. "We need to get back in the win column and right the ship a little bit. Playing Georgia at their place is always a challenge and going into Auburn on the senior day - and with them playing very well having taken the No. 1 team in the nation to five sets - we're obviously going to have to step up our game."

Ole Miss is coming off a weekend that saw the Rebels drop a pair of tight contests at Arkansas and No. 16 LSU, but several players were on track offensively.

Sophomore outside hitter Whitney Craven recorded a double-double in both matches, putting down 21 kills and 10 digs against the Razorbacks while adding 14 kills and 13 digs against the nationally-ranked Tigers. She currently ranks 10th in the SEC in kills per set and will be relied on to help lead the Rebels in the weekend matchups.

Also playing a big role in the Ole Miss offense is senior middle blocker Miranda Kitts. Kitts is hitting .303 on the season and averages more than a block a set to help lead the Rebels at the net, ranking in the top 10 in the SEC in blocks. Sophomore right side hitter Allegra Wells has also been playing well for the Rebels, putting down double-digit kills in both matches last weekend to help pace the Ole Miss offense.

Setting the offense has been the steady hands of sophomore Amanda Philpot, who has tallied six double-doubles on the season - including three consecutive matches - and posted a triple-double in a win at Alabama two weeks ago to claim SEC Player of the Week honors.
