Rebel Netters Down College Of Charleston

MT. PLEASANT, S.C. - The No. 14 nationally ranked Ole Miss men's tennis team downed the College of Charleston 6-1 here Friday at the College of Charleston Tennis Center.

With the win, the Rebels improved to 12-2 overall as they get set to face South Carolina Sunday at Noon CT in Columbia. The Rebels are 3-1 in the SEC.

Ole Miss got on the board first by winning the doubles point. The Thiemann brothers of Chris and Marcel won 8-3 at No. 2 to improve to 11-3, while Adrian Forberg Skogeng and Harry Fowler took their match 8-4.

Singles was not close in the five that the Rebels won. Tucker Vorster downed Lukas Koncilla 6-2, 6-2 at No.1, Jonas Lutjen defeated Mickael Trintignac 6-2, 6-3 at No.2, and Chris Thiemann took out Thomas Delme 6-0, 6-2 at No. 3.

Finishing off the match, Harry Fowler cruised against Joe Nicolazzi, 6-3, 6-2 at No. 4, and Jaime Vazquez Catoira topped John Harden 6-3, 6-2 at No. 6.
