3/22/2010 | Men's Golf
OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss men's golfer Jonathan Randolph has been named the Golfweek Player of the Week after claiming the Schenkel E-Z-GO Invitational this past weekend.
Randolph birdied the first playoff hole to grab his third victory of the year, to go along with the Mason Rudolph in the fall and the Gator Invitational earlier this spring. The Brandon, Miss., native is the second Rebel to win three tournaments in a season, joining All-American Dave Peege, who did it in 1984. Randolph has two firsts, a second and a third this spring.
The junior leads the SEC with a 70.52 stroke average and moved up to fifth in the latest Golfweek Rankings. In nine tournaments, he has six top-five and eight top-10 finishes.
The Rebels return to the links April 5-6 for the BancorpSouth Intercollegiate at Reunion Golf and Country Club in Madison, Miss.
