PROBABLE PITCHING MATCH-UPS:
FRIDAY, 6:30 P.M.
TU - Conrad Flynn, Jr., RHP
OM - Drew Pomeranz, Jr., LHP
NOTING POMERANZ: Pomeranz makes his third start of the season when he takes the mound on Friday against the Green Wave. The southpaw is coming off one of the most dominating performances of his career as he struck out 15 batters and allowed no walks against Oakland last weekend. He also gave up only one run on four hits in the contest. Pomeranz retired 10 of the last 11 batters faced - striking out eight of them. Currently, he holds a 1.64 ERA and has struck out 22 batters while walking only two this season.
SATURDAY, 2:00 P.M.
TU - Matt Petition, Sr., LHP
OM - Aaron Barrett, Sr., RHP
NOTING BARRETT: Barrett makes his third start of the year after two solid outings in the first two weekends of play. Barrett combined for a shutout of Louisiana-Monroe in the opening weekend and followed that up with a dominant performance last weekend against Oakland. On the year, Barrett has allowed only one run on four hits with 14 strikeouts and thre walks through two starts. He leads the team with a 0.75 ERA and has pitched a team-leading 12.0 innings on the season.
SUNDAY, 1:00 P.M.
TU - Robby Broach, Soph., RHP
OM - Trent Rothlin, Jr., RHP
NOTING ROTHLIN: Junior Trent Rothlin makes his third start of the season in the series finale against Tulane. Rothlin has picked up wins in both of his previous outings. Rothlin's 11.0 innings of work is second most on the team behind Barrett and tied with Pomeranz heading into the weekend. The junior college transfer has allowed only one run on five hits in his time on the mound, serving as an effective Sunday starter this season and helped the Rebels pick up a series win against ULM and a sweep against Oakland.
