Ole Miss & NeuLion Launch First Collegiate HD GameCenter

PLAINVIEW, N.Y. - Leading IPTV service provider NeuLion, Inc. and Ole Miss Athletics today announced the debut of a brand new high definition live game service for the 2010 baseball season.
As part of Ole Miss' subscription video service, RebelVision, the Ole Miss HD Baseball GameCenter gives Ole Miss fans the ability to watch live baseball games online. The video stream features a Southeastern Conference-best display, capable of achieving brilliant HD at 720p resolution.
OleMissSports.com represents the first official athletics site from NeuLion's nearly 200 collegiate partner sites to offer live HD streaming. The HD video service features adaptive streaming capabilities that allow the picture quality to conform to the viewer's bandwidth and accommodate different internet service provider speeds.
"This is the perfect accompaniment to our already professional four camera baseball production. The adaptive stream is incredible! We are very excited to be the first college to offer HD video streaming to our subscribers. We spend a lot of time and effort on our broadcasts, now stepping up our efforts with NeuLion technology so we can deliver this level of production and video streaming to our fans," said Shane Sanford, Director of Internet Services and Graphic Design for Ole Miss Sports Properties.
NeuLion supports advertising in the video player, a polling tool where fans can vote, full game schedules/archives, stats and, most importantly, live action in razor-sharp HD quality. The service is available to fans through the rest of the baseball season for all home games that are not televised. Ole Miss fans can access the live game HD player by clicking on the Watch HD Baseball Banner from the Ole Miss homepage.

Fans can get the remaining non-televised home baseball games in HD, including the first two games of this weekend's series against Tennessee, for $28.95 or as a free upgrade to existing annual audio/video subscribers.
