Thanks For A Successful Softball Kids Day

4/29/2010 | Softball

Dear Rebel Fans,

The Ole Miss softball team would like to thank all of its supporters for this past Sunday's "Kids Take Over the Park" Day for Le Bonheur Children's Hospital. Over 60 children showed up to offer their support for Le Bonheur and our team, and the day was a huge success with more than four large bins of toys donated to the hospital! A huge thanks to University Sporting Goods for supplying free t-shirts for the kids to wear at the park. We would also like to thank Le Bonhuer for providing an ambulance for the children to tour during the game. The Rebelettes and the Ole Miss Cheerleaders were also great with the face painting, which the children thoroughly enjoyed! Mr. Colin Krieger from Papa John's donated pizza for our fans to enjoy, and Mr. Greg Bellini from Centerplate Concessions gave away free popcorn. The national anthem was presented by the Ole Miss Color Guard and performed beautifully by Mr. Erin Flowers. Also warm thanks to Ms. Dee Howze from Clay Canvas for tossing out a prefect strike on the first pitch of the game and to her son, Duke Hussey, for allowing our supporters to create a plate that will be donated to the children of Le Bonhuer.

And lastly, thank you to all of our fans that showed up to support us in raising donations for Le Bonhuer. We cannot thank you enough and we appreciate all of the positive feedback we have received. Please come out and support the team for our last home series vs. Kentucky May 8-9.

Sincerely,
Ole Miss Softball Team
