Hey Rebel Fans!
It's Friday before the Arkansas weekend and we are all very anxious in Fayetteville to take this series and maybe the sweep. We got in last night around 11 o'clock after playing Central Arkansas in a one-game hit festival. There was a great crowd in the stands as some of their fans did some homework on us and had papers at the game with all of our information on them. Some of them were very funny with two guys were yelling at Lindsey Perry about how much she loved coffee, when in truth (she told us) that she doesn't even like it that much. Also, a few of the guys in the outfield fell in love with Brittany Broome, who was playing centerfield, and by the fifth inning was asking for her hand in marriage. Fans like as these make playing the game a lot of fun, because they are not there to be mean, they just want to see if they can rattle us. Cali Overbeck killed a three-run homerun to put us ahead for the run rule win, but everyone did very well at the plate. Let's carry it over for the weekend!!
We start our three-game series against Arkansas tomorrow at 1 p.m. in their brand new stadium. We practiced today to get a feel for what the atmosphere will be about so we are not taken by surprise. All the girls are very excited about this series, because it's coming down to the wire. However, as we learned last weekend we know that we do not need to go into these games pressing, but to just have fun and play our game. The senior class went down to breakfast this morning asking if anybody got conjoining rooms, because we got the bright idea to all sleep in one room this weekend since its our last road SEC series. If you have not noticed we are kind of obsessed with each other. Although our hotel is very cool this weekend with a kitchenette, living room and bed room, I don't think any of them conjoin. Don't put it past us to figure something else out. Haha! Thanks to everyone who has been following us this season. We hope to take this team to the next level! Hotty Toddy!
